  • We welcome Professor Jakub Bohuszewicz (Jagiellonian University Krakow) at the Department of Religious Studies. During his stay, he will conduct a course on "Introducing Siberian Shamanism."
  • On 17 June, the farewell lecture of Professor Birgit Heller will take place in lecture hall 6 in the main building of the University of Vienna. The lecture is entitled "Religious Knowledge – A Male Privilege? On the Relationship Between Education and Power in Religions", and further information can be found here.
  • Congratulations to Jannik Alexander Kuhn for completing the M.A. programme in Religious Studies with a thesis on Buddhismus und Wohlbefinden.   • On 15 May, the 18th workshop of the Religious Studies Workshop Series entitled "Museen und Religion – neue Potentiale für die Religionswissenschaft [Museums and Religion – New Potentials for Religious Studies]" was held by Dirk Schuster.
  • On 13 May, Karl Baier gave a lecture at the Austrian Society for Parapsychology on the topic of "Mesmerism in the late 18th century. The spread of French somnambulism in Switzerland and Germany, using the example of Johann Caspar Lavater."
