Patricia Sophie Mayer is Departmental Co-Ordinator at the Department of Religious Studies. She holds a B.A. in Japanese Studies (2017). In the autumn 2017, she entered the M.A. programmes in Religious Studies and Japanese Studies, while also being a freelancer at the Austrian Academy of Sciences (2017–2018), and a student assistant at the Department of Religious Studies (2018–2022). Her research interests include religion in Japan, esotericism, the self in religion, and global entanglements in these fields.
