Ivan Praštalo is a Teaching Assistant in Folk Literature at the Department of Serbian Literature and South Slavic Literatures, Faculty of Philology, University of Belgrade. He holds a B.A. (2020) and an M.A. (2023) in Serbian Literature from the University of Belgrade. During his undergraduate studies, he spent a semester at the Department of Estonian and Comparative Folklore at the University of Tartu. He is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Serbian Literature at the University of Belgrade, with a research focus on folk narratives, place-lore, and oral-formulaic theory. While at the Department in the 2025 summer semester, he co-ordinates a course on "Folklore and Belief."
