Alexander Wrona is a student assistant (2016–2017) at the Department of Religious Studies. He holds a B.A. (2014) in Languages and Cultures of South Asia and Tibet from the University of Vienna and is currently in the process of writing his M.A. thesis in Religious Studies. His research focuses on the relations between Islam and Theravāda Buddhism, especially in Arab Gulf states. He plans to start a Ph.D. project on this topic in 2017. He was born in Berlin and has been living in Vienna since 2011.
