Curriculum for the Master's Programme in Study of Religions (Version 2025)

The new curriculum for the Master's Programme in Study of Religions (Religionswissenschaft), published in the University of Vienna's bulletin, will come into effect on 1 October 2025 and applies to all students who begin their studies in the winter semester of 2025/26. The curriculum can be downloaded here.

Students who, at the time of the enactment of this curriculum, were subject to the previously valid Master's curriculum "Religious Studies" (bulletin from 4 February 2008, 12th issue, No. 70) are entitled to complete their studies by 31 October 2027, at the latest. The curriculum for this M.A. programme in Religious Studies (Religionswissenschaft), first published in the University of Vienna's bulletin in February 2008, with various amendments (March 2008; February 2009; January 2016) can be found here.
