Mikheil Kakabadze is a RaT Fellow at the Department of Religious Studies. He holds a B.A. in Religious Studies from the University of Hamburg (2019, minor in English/American Literature and Culture) and an M.A. in Religious Studies from the University of Amsterdam (2021). His research interests lie at the intersections of non-hegemonic religious traditions, politics, philosophy, and literature in the modern era. During the fellowship period, he is preparing a larger research project that will focus on the positive reception history of non-hegemonic (e.g., esoteric, mystical, "heretical") traditions within socialist, anarchist, and Marxist philosophies (e.g., in Ernst Bloch and Gustav Landauer).
