Christoph Hammer is a student assistant at the Department of Religious Studies. After completing his studies in Mathematics (B.Sc. 2018) and Religious Education specialising in Religious Studies (B.A. 2020) at the University of Vienna, he enrolled in the M.A. programme in Religious Studies. Additionally, he embarked on a B.A. at the Department of South Asian, Tibetan, and Buddhist Studies where he also worked as a tutor for classical Tibetan from 2020 to 2023. His main research interest lies in Buddhism, especially its European guise with a focus on Austria. Methodologically, his focus lies in field research, which he has already had plenty of opportunities to practise during the course of his studies.
