Christoph Hammer is a student assistant (2022–2024) at the Department of Religious Studies. He holds a B.Sc. (2018) in Mathematics, a B.A. (2020) in Religious Education specialising in Religious Studies, and an M.A. (2023) in Religious Studies (2020), all from the University of Vienna. Additionally, he embarked on a B.A. at the Department of South Asian, Tibetan, and Buddhist Studies where he also worked as a tutor for classical Tibetan from 2020 to 2023. His main research interest lies in Buddhism, especially its European guise with a focus on Austria. Methodologically, his focus lies in field research, which he has already had plenty of opportunities to practise during the course of his studies.
